Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They’re stored in your browser and sent back to the website on your next visit so the site can recognise you or remember certain settings.
They don’t run programmes or carry viruses. Most are harmless, and many are necessary for basic website functions to work at all.
Chemitex Pharmacy operates the website at chemitexpharmacylondon.co.uk. We are the data controller for cookies set directly by this site.

For questions about how we handle personal data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.
We group our cookies into four categories. Not all of them are active on every page.
These cookies are required for the website to function. They can’t be switched off. They don’t collect information used for marketing and they don’t track you across other websites.
Examples of what they do:
Because these are essential to the site working, they don’t require your consent under UK law. Disabling them would break parts of the site.
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site, which pages are most visited, where people drop off, how long sessions last, and whether people are finding what they need. The data is aggregated and doesn’t identify you individually.
We use Google Analytics for this. Google Analytics sets cookies that track session duration, pages viewed and general user behaviour on the site. The data is processed on Google’s servers and governed by Google’s own privacy terms.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Functional cookies remember preferences you’ve set to improve your experience on return visits. They might remember which language you prefer, whether you’ve dismissed a notice, or regional settings.
These cookies collect some personal information but only to remember your preferences on this site. They don’t track you elsewhere.
These are optional. Disabling them won’t stop the site from working, but some preferences won’t be saved between visits.
Some features on our site are delivered by third parties. When those features load, those third parties may set their own cookies. We don’t control these cookies directly, they’re governed by the privacy policies of the relevant providers.
Treat Local (booking system). Our online booking system is provided by Treat Local. When you access the booking function, Treat Local may set cookies to manage your session and appointment. See Treat Local’s privacy policy for details.
Google Maps. If we embed a map to show our location, Google may set cookies as part of loading the Maps interface. Google’s privacy policy applies to this.
Facebook / Instagram. If we use social sharing buttons or embed social content, the relevant platform may set cookies when those elements load. This applies even if you don’t click anything. Facebook’s and Instagram’s own cookie policies govern this.
When you first visit our site, a cookie banner will appear. You can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or manage your preferences by category. Your choice is saved so you’re not asked again on every visit.
You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the footer of any page.
Every major browser lets you view, block or delete cookies through its settings. The process is slightly different for each:
Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Cookies and site data
Blocking all cookies will cause parts of most websites to stop working correctly. If you want to remove specific cookies rather than all of them, most browsers let you do that through the same settings area.
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal to websites. There’s currently no agreed standard for how websites should respond to this signal, so our site doesn’t change its behaviour based on it. You can manage your preferences directly through our cookie banner instead.
Cookies are either session cookies or persistent cookies.
Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser. They’re used for things like keeping a booking form active while you complete it.
Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period, anywhere from a few hours to several years, and are reactivated when you return to the site. Analytics cookies like _ga persist for up to 2 years unless you delete them earlier.
You can delete persistent cookies at any time through your browser settings.
We do not use cookies to collect or store health information. Any health data you provide during a consultation or booking is handled separately, under the terms of our Privacy Policy, and is not linked to your cookie profile.
If you’re concerned about what health information we hold about you, see our Privacy Policy or contact us directly.
